Then you may benefit from Colonic Irrigation
A practice dating from around 1500BC, Colonic Hydrotherapy, also known as Colonic Irrigation, is a modern and efficient therapy used to provide a comfortable and effective solution in situations when the eliminative system suffers from irregularity. The treatment involves a gentle internal bath using warm, purified water that can help release stored faecal matter, gas and excess mucus from the colon.
Your first appointment will involve the taking of your case history followed by an explanation of the procedure. The treatment itself will take 30-45 minutes during which time water will be gently introduced via the rectum whilst your abdomen is massaged to stimulate the release of stored matter and gas. During the treatment your modesty is preserved at all times. Beneficial dietary changes may be advised to further enhance your treatment.
You should allow an hour and a half for your first treatment and one hour for any subsequent sessions. No preparation is required but it is advisable to avoid eating a heavy meal just before the treatment
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required always depends upon your individual case and prevailing conditions. If a condition has been building up for years it is unlikely that it will disappear completely after 30-45 minutes of cleansing. Most people feel improvements after the first session though. Advice will be given, on an individual basis, as to the ideal number and frequency of treatments required. Preventative or maintenance treatments are also encouraged.
Is it safe?
Yes. The water is introduced at a low gentle pressure which is lower than the pressure that stools exert on the bowel wall. Colonic Hydrotherapy, unlike the use of laxatives, is not habit forming and may actually improve the tone & shape of the colon. All equipment is fully disposable.
Your Colonic Hydrotherapy Therapist - Diane Allan
I had my first Colonic Hydrotherapy back in 1995, after suffering many years with constipation and bloating and have never looked back, or felt better! Over the years and many colonics later I had learnt so much about how the colon should work and felt it was time to share my knowledge and experience.
My career started in the Beauty Industry in 1988 but I always thought and knew there was something missing and that I needed more of a connection with my clients.
In 2004 I retrained as a Colonic Therapist. By this time I had a huge pile of books on the subject, travelled to Thailand a few times to do the whole detox and fasting spa experience and bored my family and friends silly with my poo stories.
So it really did feel like a natural progression. The satisfaction I get from helping my clients improve their own health is so rewarding and makes it all worthwhile.
As well as having Colonic Hydrotherapy regularly, I am continually studying and learning; whether that is from the countless digestive books I have accumulated over the years, or courses, such as Iridology, herbs, advanced Colonic Hydrotherapy and nutrition. I also learn an incredible amount from my clients – their stories, symptoms and response to the treatment.
No two clients are the same so no two treatments are the same. I treat everyone as an individual with honesty and integrity.
I am not a doctor and I don’t claim to be able to diagnose, treat or cure any illnesses. However many conditions can improve significantly or disappear altogether after having Colonic Hydrotherapy. I will work with each individual to reach achievable goals.
